Women Grievance and Welfare Cell

The Women Grievance and Welfare Cell of this University promote a healthy working environment for all our female staff, students and faculty. The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of this University has constituted a ten member committee headed by Prof. Tuhina Verma as Coordinator of the Cell. It work towards building a gender-sensitized environment at our University and looks over the complaints regarding the incident of misconduct with any girl student or staff, with a view to ensure safe working spaces of girl students/ women staffs/ faculty members and to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere at the University campus that respect women's right to equality of status and opportunity. The Women Grievance and Welfare Cell has provided an official E-mail ID which may be used by the Women Employees and students to lodge their grievances.

Upon receipt of the complaint, the Cell will take all necessary measures to provide immediate relief to aggrieved women, conduct a preliminary enquiry of the incident and suggest appropriate disciplinary and corrective measures to be taken by the University. The Cell will also suggest ways to improve the safety and security measures of Women's in the University.

Till date, since Oct. 2020, the Cell has organized more than 65 different programmes, self-defence training for women and competition on various topics related to Women Empowerment at regular intervals to create mass awareness and to sensitise people on the subjecttowards building a gender-neutral workplace.
